Creative Tension
This is my final video project of my undergraduate career. The idea was based around tension and the project came to life. This was done in my editing class Theatre 635 with Janet Parrott. I played around with color saturation and things came out pretty interesting. Featuring myself, Matt Terrell, and Marcus Brooks. As I finish uploading the project I think more and more about how I am going to miss this school and my wonderful professor who help with every step of the way during this course. Thank you Janet I really appreciate you and all your help- maybe some day we will work together!
* I would like to not that this video broke the 180 degree rule. As a student I have to make adjustments when using my friends as talent. I did get negative feedback from my instructor for that close up shot on the opposite side of where I had all the others… Please excuse the confusion. I would also like to note that the frame rate is 24fps/ compressed.

Columbus Bomb Squad Call To OSU Campus
Bomb Squad called to a suspicious package on the OSU campus March 12, 2010. Director of Emergency Management, Brian Thompson spoke with a few journalist on scene after the evacuation of the Wexner Center. Part of College Road had been closed down until emergency declared safety for entrance.* FYI- I know that content goes by quickly. This was made on video software. To read the content message click pause. Listening to the audio one time through without stopping is recommended.
A classmate, Alexis Hopkins who is also in 426 multi-media journalism noticed police and emergency vehicles on the south oval of the OSU campus as we were walking passed. We decided to cover the story because it was definitely considered spot news. Luckily, I remembered a good method from my 426 multimedia professor told me to always carry my SLR camera because I will never know what news content I will come across. GOOD advice Leonardo!! With limited resources outside of class we had to figure out a way to produce this content for our blogs. I used AVID Media Composer software to produce this content and had a tremendous amount of help of my Theatre 633 Editing Course professor, Janet Parrott. Importing photos isn’t as easy as it seems when your working with retaining the format of your original content. Special thanks to Janet! This was a very exciting production.

Gearing up for Indoor Track and Field Big Ten Championships.
On February 19, 2010 Buckeyes geared up for Big Ten Championships. This was the last opportunity in a meet setting prior to the championships at Minnesota (men) and Penn State (woman). The invite offers a unique opportunity for veterans to fine tune their respective fields heading into the conference meet, while also allowing less experience athletes a chance to compete in front of the hometown crowd.

Wikipedia.com Defintion: Trailers or previews are film advertisements for feature films that will be exhibited in the future at a cinema, on whose screen they are shown. The term “trailer” comes from their having originally been shown at the end. That practice did not last long, because patrons tended to leave the theater after the films ended, but the name has stuck. Trailers are now shown before the film (or the A movie in a double features program) begins. Movie trailers have now become extremely popular on the internet. Of some 10-billion videos watched online annually, movie trailers rank #3, after news and user-created video.

This video is not my work but I am interested in the topic.
Wikipedia definition of Dark Matter: is a form of matter that is undetectable by its emitted electromagnetic radiation, but whose presence can be inferred from gravitational effects on visible matter and background radiation.
Physicist Patricia Burchat sheds light on two basic ingredients of our universe: dark matter and dark energy. Comprising 96% of the universe between them, they can’t be directly measured, but their influence is immense. Patricia Burchat studies the structure and distribution of dark matter and dark energy. These mysterious ingredients can’t be measured in conventional ways, yet form a quarter of the mass of our universe.
This information is just in case anyone was wondering what is holding everything together. This is not apart of the class assignment, I just love her commentary of the topic. Check out www.ted.com it has “Ideas Worth Spreading.
